About JA
We inspire and empower young people to own their future economic success.
Since 1950, Junior Achievement of Oregon & SW Washington (JA) has been empowering local students by giving them the knowledge and skills they need to manage their money, plan for their futures, and make smart academic, career, and economic choices.
Delivered by business and community volunteers, our hands-on, age-appropriate programs focus on three key areas: work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
Why Junior Achievement?
Junior Achievement’s K-12 programs ignite a spark in young people, allowing them to to experience and create the opportunities for a better tomorrow.
Our programs help students connect what they learn in the classroom to the real world and demonstrate how learning correlates to earning, helping them become successful, contributing members of society in the future.
Commitment to Equitable Education
We at Junior Achievement are committed to building economic equality and racial justice. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) are growing priorities at all levels of our organization’s mission, leadership, initiatives and impact. Junior Achievement will continue to expand our services to students who need it most and create opportunities for historically and currently marginalized youth in the highest needs schools. We emphasize serving priority youth across Oregon and SW Washington.
