JA Finance Park provides students the unique opportunity to experience their personal financial futures first-hand. JA Finance Park helps students build a foundation upon which they can make intelligent financial decisions that last a lifetime, including decisions related to income, expenses, savings, and credit.
The JA Finance Park curriculum culminates in an immersive simulation that enables students to develop skills to successfully navigate today’s complex economic environment and discover how decisions today can impact tomorrow. JA Finance Park can be experienced in multiple ways: In-person at our Discovery Center in Hillsboro, Oregon, or virtually, as either a student self-led or an educator-led curriculum.

Our Curriculum
The JA Finance Park curriculum features 12 lessons that can be customized to your classroom’s needs through a variety optional or extension activities.
Upon completion of lessons, students complete either an in-person or a virtual simulation. Students will be assume randomly assigned income and family scenarios and will research and gather consumer information to make informed financial decisions. Students utilize banking services, secure housing and transportation, purchase insurance, furnishings, groceries, entertainment options, and more. They will make investment decisions and navigate the use of debt a tool to build a secure financial future.
